Riverbed Technology Awards Dimension Data As Partner Of The Year

Riverbed, American-based IT service provider, has appreciated the facilities provided by Dimension Data by awarding it with two significant awards. One of these was the Technology Global Platform Partner of the Year Award, while the other one was Riverbed Authorized Support Partner (RASP) of the Year Award for EMEA 2013. It is also informed that it has just been a single year, since Dimension Data joined RASP program.
This is quite an attainment for Dimension Data, as it was been chosen over thousands of Riverbed Performance Partner Network, worldwide. To an estimate, Riverbed is working closely with 2,200 partners around the world to help out in several areas including cloud server and storage acceleration, data protection and disaster recovery, data center, server consolidation, and application acceleration. With assistance of these partners, Riverbed seeks to offer the most complete platform and IT infrastructure to enterprises.
Dimension Data has comprehensively been providing its support to Riverbed Technology in certain focused areas like data center solutions, interactive solutions, network integration, and security solutions. Although this company is operational for over three decades, it has recently launched its Cloud Business Unit in 2012. Data Dimension is itself the subsidiary of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone, as the Japanese telecom company fully acquired it in 2010.
Taking birth at South Africa, Dimension Data has stretched to the global market by acquiring the companies in UK, Australia, North America, and Europe. It continues to strengthen itself through more acquisitions and partnerships. It could be realized from the fact that Dimension Data completed its latest acquisition of NextiraOne, earlier this month. NextiraOne is an old player of European communication services. It seems that the New Year has proved well for Dimension Data, as it was also recognized as one of The Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces in United States.
Riverbed on the other end has also kicked off the year well by claiming InfoWorld Technology of the Year Award for Steelhead and Granite. It has recently been valued for delivering excellent value to customers and having a strong market presence. In this regard, the company was positioned as Champion by Info-Tech Research Group’s 2014 Vendor Landscape: Application Delivery Controllers (ADC).
Personnel from both the sides including Gary Middleton, Global Business Development Director at Dimension Data and Keith Hoskison, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Channels and Strategic Account Programmes at Riverbed, have shown their positive concerns over these awards.
Both the above partners are realizing the rapidly changing needs and requirements of current cloud market and are looking forward to bring a change. Even the Garter Inc. positioned Dimension Data in the Visionaries Quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Cloud-Enabled Managed Hosting. The other reasons behind this continually strengthening partnership of Dimension Data and Riverbed include the rapidly growing business between the two service providers, with a compound rate of 40% in the last four years.
Through such healthful partnership, one can expect much from these leading IT service providers to turn up with something new and exclusive, specifically in the cloud segment.
